Robert S. Jefferson

A angel on earth has gained his wings. Robert Stephen Jefferson, 91, of Tampa, Florida, passed away peacefully on July 16, 2025. A gentle soul with a giving heart, Robert was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather—affectionately known as “Pa” to his beloved grandchildren. He believed deeply in generosity, love, and service, touching countless lives with his warmth and kindness.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Saul and Ruth Jefferson, and his siblings Martha Lanier, Sydney, Linwood, and Joseph. Robert is survived by his devoted wife of 68 years, Barbara Jefferson; his daughters Susan Shattles (Jimmy) and Sheri Slowey (Steve); grandchildren Kristin Civitello (Joe), Kacie Kraus (Mike), Robert Slowey (Sara), and Savannah Fenlon (Brent); and his cherished great-grandchildren, Dominick, Daniel, Andrew, Madison, Blair, and Noah.

A visitation to honor Robert’s life will be held on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home, located at 2323 West Brandon Blvd, Brandon, Florida 33511 .

Robert’s lasting legacy is the profound love he shared with his family and friends. To know him was to feel supported, respected, and cherished every day. His spirit will live on in the hearts of those he inspired. Thank you Jesus for blessing us with the best.
