Robert Lewis Turkett Sr.

Robert was born on December 18, 1939 to James Allen and Minnie Clara Turkett in Cullman, Alabama.

Robert moved to Florida from Alabama in 1969 and was self-employed while owning several small businesses. He was a member of Carpenters Home Church in Lakeland, Florida until the time he moved to North Carolina in the Spring of 1996.

Robert married his wife Cindy of 52 years in Brandon, Florida on January 8, 1972.

He was a loving Husband, Father and Grandfather and never met a stranger he didn’t consider a friend. He enjoyed meeting and helping people along the way and continued to do so over the last several years of his life while living in Strawberry Ridge community. Robert enjoyed being with his family and two dogs; Jack and Snowball.

Robert is survived by his wife of 52 years, Cindy Turkett, Son Robert Lewis Turkett, II and wife Joanna Turkett, Son Joseph Anthony Turkett, 5 Step-Children, 11 Grandchildren, 6 Great Grandchildren, and 1 Great Great Grandchild.

Robert requested private services, though our family would like to thank everyone for their prayers and support during this difficult time.
