He was born in Charleroi, Pennsylvania on July 22, 1938 to the late Blanche and Stanley Woss. Following High School Rudolph was drafted in the United States Army and served proudly. During boot camp his future brother-in-law introduced him to who would become his loving wife of 57 years. After boot camp he spent his time stationed in Germany just before the Vietnam War. After the military he married his fiance and moved to Tampa. He started life in Tampa as a butcher, then soon went to Tampa Tech and secured a career with GTE, which later became Verizon, and for over 40 years he worked first-hand troubleshooting and resolving outages, both inside and in the field, as the telephone evolved from rotary to digital to fiberoptics and high-speed computer data lines.
Rudolph was a devout Catholic, a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help church and also the Knights of Columbus. After keeping his faith in God, his number one priority in life was to be a dedicated husband and father. He enjoyed time with family, which included going to the beach and mountains on family vacations, coaching little league baseball, weekend family cookouts and catching a Tampa Bay Bucs, Rays, or Lightning game. He had a great sense of humor and his smile was infectious. He was kind and led by example when it came to family values and the importance of having a strong family.
Rudolph is survived by his sons; Michael and his wife Cheryl; Scott and his wife Jessica; Joseph and his wife Jeanette; sisters, Frances Haile, Maryann Levering; grandchildren, Jonathan Woss, Katherine (Woss) Hammontree and her husband Harrison, Dylan Woss and his wife Alexis, Madison Briggs, Jadon Briggs, Michael "M.J."
