PASSED AWAY MAY 18, 2026,
On May 18, 2026, GOD and Shannon’s Mother, Carolyn, whom he missed terribly, reached out to Shannon to invite him home to be with her. While we felt that he had so much more to contribute to this life, his mission here of widespread friendship, love and helping others was deemed completed and it was time to return home, one week before his birthday.
His family was always a great source of pride to him and he loved them dearly, and we loved him. We were a family and he cherished us, beginning with his father, Jack Kerrigan, and Shannon’s son Hunter, Shannon’s sister Kelly, her husband Dave and their children David and Ashleigh Berry.
Shannon was a native Floridian, and graduated from the University of South Florida. He was always endowed with the “Zest for Life” and energy, he exhibited throughout his life. Helping others was a passion and mission that came naturally to him.
His significant other, Brandi, saw this passion for others and introduced him to the Rough Rider organization. Their passion and mission aligned perfectly with Shannon’s. He was accepted as a member. One of the missions Shannon especially enjoyed was their visits to children at various hospitals. The frowns on the children’s faces were completely replaced with glowing smiles when they received the “Teddy Bears“, given by the Rough Riders. It put a proud smile on Shannon’s face as well. To him this was clearly God’s work.
We all loved Shannon deeply and we will always miss him. He brought joy into the lives of many during his life and he’d want to thank everyone along the way of life who supported him and were always there to reach out to him to help, as he did so many times for others. Thank you everyone, Shannon loved you all, and always appreciated you being there as his friends. God bless you all. You meant a lot to him.
