BYRD, Sharon A., 70, of Valrico entered into rest June 25, 2014. Sharon worked in the transportation industry for many years. She then achieved her lifelong dream earning a degree in Education from the University of Tampa. She taught at Bing Elementary for the last nine years. Sharon was a member of First United Methodist Church of Brandon, and loved the arts, reading, and traveling. A loving wife, mother, and grandmother she will be greatly missed. She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Donald; daughters, Melissa Buckner (Nicole), Marchele Cornish (Jay); sons, Todd Byrd (Patti), Kevin Byrd (Chastity); grandchildren, Sarah (Rob), Jeremy, Natalie (Andy), Amanda (Dirrick), Zachary, Delaney, Jacob, Allie, Mikael; great-grandchildren, Gunner, Kinley; nieces, Jina, Lisa, Karen. A memorial service will be held 3 p.m. Monday, June 30, 2014 at First United Methodist Church of Brandon. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to LifePath Hospice in Sharon's memory.
