WAGENER, Virginia “Joy”, 60, of Riverview entered into rest Friday, April 22, 2016. She was born Christmas Day in 1955 and was raised on the Chesapeake Bay in Maryland by Gerald and Eileen Ingman. She was their first baby girl. She lived her life by the words of her father: “fall asleep every night knowing that you accomplished something everyday.” During almost 35 years as a nurse, she was the Joy to everyone’s World and brightened so many dark days for countless strangers and friends. She had so much love to give in her heart; she gave and gave and some how her heart was still always so full of love for everyone. She thrived by helping others. Her friends and family will forever miss her beautiful smile and contagious laughter. She is survived by her daughter, Katie; aunts, Susan Tichenor, Margie Connolly; two sisters; and the following non-blood relatives, Russ Martin, Lisa Rodriguez, Debbie Rodenbostel. After nearly 25 years she will finally be reunited with her husband and the love of her life, Don Wagener. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to LifePath Hospice in Joy’s memory. A celebration of life will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, May 14, 2016 at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home, inurnment to follow in Hillsboro Memorial Gardens
