Wayne Carlyle Myers

Wayne C. Myers, 84, of Brandon, Florida, passed away peacefully in his home on Thursday, February 15, 2024 in Sparta, Tennessee. Wayne graduated from Brandon High School and received a Master’s Degree at the University of South Florida, Tampa. Wayne served in the United States Air Force receiving an Honorable Discharge after the Korean War. Wayne achieved Sergeant in the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office with 27 years of dedicated service retiring in 1996. He was a member of the Brandon Masonic Lodge, The Scottish Rite, and Egypt Temple Shrine in Florida. He and his Wife, Sharon, attended the First Presbyterian Church in Cookeville, Tennessee. He is survived by his brother Roger Myers, his wife Ann; Niece, Kim Walker; Nephew Roger Myers, II. his Stepchildren, Ruth Morton, her husband, Mike; Matthew Sandifer, Jr., his wife Pam, and Timothy Sandifer. Wayne is preceded in death by his mother, Myrtle Myers; Father Graham Myers; his son, Wayne C. Myers, Jr.; his wife, Sharon Myers, and her son, Wayne M. Sandifer. Services will be held at Stowers Funeral Home, on Saturday, February 24 with visitation at 1:00 p.m.; 2:00 p.m. service; then graveside immediately after. He will be laid to rest at Seffner Cemetery, Seffner, Florida.

A visitation for Wayne will be held Saturday, February 24, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Stowers Funeral Home, 401 West Brandon Blvd, Brandon, FL 33511. A funeral service will occur Saturday, February 24, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, 401 West Brandon Blvd, Brandon, FL 33511. A graveside service will occur Saturday, February 24, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at Seffner Cemetery, 609 E Wheeler Road, Seffner, FL 33584.
