Bill passed away on April 21, 2025, in Tampa, Florida at the age of 73 with family by his side. He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. and moved to Tampa, Florida where he was a resident for over 60 years. He is preceded in death by his father, mother, and his sister, Rosemary.
Bill is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 54 years, Rinda Mosteller Koehler and his three wonderful and loving sons, Nicholas Edward Koehler and Christine Franco, Anthony Eugene Koehler and Sara Koehler, William “Billy” Russel Koehler, along with his sisters-in-law & brothers-in-law Jennie and Barry Cooke; Elizabeth and Keith Fields; Sandra Milhoan and Derek Reams; and Doodle Bug and Jennifer Mosteller; as well as his cousins, nieces and nephews.
Bill was a great husband, father, and good friend to all. He was retired from law enforcement, and a college graduate. He was proud of his many achievements and certifications in law enforcement. He is greatly admired for his accomplishments in developing and running Koehler Development, Inc.; Florida Land and Marine Development; and Inspection Services of Florida. His most beloved passion was flying and was a licensed private pilot for over 30 years. He would fly anywhere in his 310 Cessna. He was an adventurous soul who loved sailing and scuba diving. He loved all of our many fur babies. He was a big FSU football fan travelling back and forth to Tallahassee, Florida for games. He would tell everyone he was a Republican and Trump supporter.
The most important thing in life was our family, especially his three sons and how proud he was of them. We will forever carry him in our hearts and will never stop loving him.
A graveside service for Bill will be held Wednesday, April 30, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Hillsboro Memorial Gardens, 2323 West Brandon Blvd, Brandon, FL 33511.
