Alexandra Kempa

It is with sadness that the family announces the passing of Allie on Thursday February 23, 2012 at St. Joseph’s Lifecare Centre. Allie was the beloved wife of the late Frank Kempa (1987). Predeceased by her daughter Audrey Pietrkiewicz (1987) and her son Reginald Kempa (1978), son-in-law Robert Parent (1989), grandson Jean-Paul Parent (1994), sisters Josephine Blank, Stella Olendar, Laura Krukowski, Freda Maloney and brother Richard Sekuta. Cherished mother of Frances Parent, loving mother-in-law of Stan Pietrkiewicz and Josephine Reid. Dearly loved sister of Stephanie (and the late Frank Kush) and Tillie Bent. Sister-in-law of Guy Bent, Carl Maloney, Violet Kempa and Anne Kempa. Allie was a proud 100 years old, grandmother of 18, great-grandmother of 34 and great-great grandmother of 1. The family wishes to extend their deepest appreciation to the staff of St. Joseph’s Lifecare Centre for their excellent care given to Allie during her stay with them and to Doctor Ilmar Kents and Doctor John Hadley for their kind compassionate care of Allie.

Family and Friends will be received at the “Thorpe Brothers Funeral Home and Chapel”, 96 West Street on Sunday February 26th from 2:00 to 5:00 pm and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. Parish and CWL Prayers at the funeral home at 3:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s Church, 235 Brant Avenue on Monday February 27th at 10:00 am. Interment St. Joseph’s Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations to St. Joseph’s Lifecare Centre, St. Joseph’s Memorial Scholarship Fund or St. Joseph’s Lift Project would be appreciated.
