What a beautiful day to say goodbye to Dad. The sun was out the weather was warm. Finally a beautiful Ontario summer day (even though it's turned fall already). It was the kind of day that if Dad had been with us he would have been chomping at the bit to be on the boat.
The bagpiper played The Water is Wide to pipe Dad into the chapel and Amazing Grace to escort us out to the reception. It was a beautiful tribute to Dad and his Scottish heritage.
Thanks to all those who came out to the service or sent messages of condolence, your support during this difficult time is immeasurable.
We love you Dad and our hearts will be a little heavier until can be with you again. Love you forever...Leah, Jeff, Ben & Abbey.

Your Dad has a special memory for me in my childhood of playing catch with me and taking me with him on his many trips to Canadian Tire.  Later, at Pleasure Bay  Park we had so many good times where he was so full of life and laughter. Please know our thoughts are with you as you grieve the loss of your father.

I will always fondly remember the family gatherings by the pool in the backyard.  Some memories last forever.  My deepest sympathies.

My many memories of Gus are from my childhood when he would play catch with me and always take me with him to Canadian Tire or on any errand he was making. Later there are very special memories of our trips to Pleasure Bay Park where he was so active and always full of life and fun.  Thank you Gus, as I didn't have a Dad and so often you filled some of that void. To Leah, Glenn and your families, our thoughts are with you as you grieve for the loss of a wonderful father.

 I am very sorry to hear about Uncle Angus, I met Angus once many years ago when Janine and I passed through Toronto before we were married.  I remember a raucous evening of stories and laughter before finally getting to bed around 4am, only to get up at 6 to catch a plane!

Dad and I met Angus and Marian in Miami about six years ago.
Your dad was so full of energy, looking tanned fit and healthy.
He loved life and seemed so similar to my father. It was good that they had some time together.  I know I will remember your father in his younger days before he left for Canada when he used to carry me about in his kit bag. He was my favourite uncle and how upset I was when he left.
I am so glad dad & I saw him in Miami looking so good and happy.

We will miss seeing Gus' smiling face down at the marina  and on the water.  Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
