Annina Colaiacovo

After a long and memorable life, Annina peacefully was called by the Lord to be with her husband Giuseppe Colaiacovo on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 in her 88th year. Dearly loved mother of Rina (Brian O’Riordan), Luigi (Donna) and Giosino (Angella). Loving Nonna of Olivia, Michael, Louie Jr. (Melissa), Joseph (Holly), Meagan, Nicole and Lauren and great- grandchildren, Dante, Isabelle, Emma and Nathan. Adored sister of Elisa DiNino. Sister-in-law of Bice (the late Rocco Santilli), Giuseppina (the late Vittorio Colaiacovo). Predeceased by her sisters-in-law, Gaetana (the late Giovanni), Anna (the late Francesco), Suora Angelica (Gina) and brother-in-law Franco (the late Maria). Annina leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A special thank you to her cousin Laura Colaiacovo for her outstanding friendship, care and compassion. Thank you also to the nurses and doctors of the Brantford General Hospital, as well as the staff of Tranquility Place Retirement Residence. The family will receive friends at the “Thorpe Brothers’ Funeral Home and Chapel”, 96 West Street on Thursday, February 8th from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:30 to 8:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, 133 Murray Street on Friday, February 9th, at 10:30 am. Entombment, Our Lady of the Assumption Mausoleum, Paris.
