Biagio Pontoriero

Biagio was born on March 17 1939 and passed away peacefully on July 10 2025. He leaves behind his wife Anna Martorano, the love of his life all these years. His daughter Eleonora Pontoriero (and husband James), and his daughter Anna Maria Pontoriero who have been his pride and joy. Predeceased by his parents Ignazio and Eleonora Pontoriero, and his sister Vincenza Pontoriero. Survived by his brothers Guiseppe (the late Maria) of Argentina, his brother Giacomo (the late wife Dea), and Girolamo (the late wife Diana) and Antonio (and wife Maria) of Italy. Predeceased by his in-laws Ferdinando and Maria Martorano, and survived by many relatives and friends in Canada, Argentina, and Italy. Family and friends are welcome to attend Visitation at Thorpe Bros. Funeral Home, 96 West St., Brantford, on Tuesday July 15th from 1:00 - 3:00p.m. and 6:00 - 8:00p.m. with Parish Prayers held at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday July 16th at 11:00 a.m. Entombment at Our Lady of the Assumption Mausoleum, Paris to follow. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Brantford General Hospital, or St. Pius X Church.
