It is with deep sorrow that the family announces the passing of Bonny Vicano on April 10, 2026, at the age of 76.
Beloved wife of 53 years to Peter. Loving mother of Michael; Paul (Oona); Nicole (Craig); and Marc (Amy). Cherished grandmother of Ella and Rosalie; Louie and Gemma; Andie; and Sebastian, Arlo, and Quentin.
Bonny will be dearly missed by her brother Bill Shellington (Pam); her sister-in-law Sandra Shellington; and her sister-in-law Elizabeth DeProsperis. She was a treasured friend to many, especially her lifelong friend, Glennis Chaplan. She will be lovingly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She was predeceased by her father, Clarence Shellington (1969); her mother, Doris Dewar (2009); her stepfather, Fred Dewar (2013); her mother-in-law, Nicolina Vicano (2021); her father-in-law, Raffaele Vicano (1989); her brother, Brian Shellington (2023); and her brother-in-law, Vince DeProsperis (2023).
Bonny cherished her many travels to Italy over the past 50 years. Pofi, Italy, held a special place in her heart, where she and Peter became part of the local community. She found joy in caring for her family, sharing a glass of wine with close friends, and offering love, care, and guidance to her eight grandchildren. Her warmth, kindness, and quiet strength touched the lives of all who knew her.
