Dear Joe and Cathy; Jim and Linda , Grandchildren of Eleanor
Our hearts are very saddened to hear of the passing of our dear friend, Eleanor.
Roger and I have such warm memories of your wonderful Mom’s warmth and hospitality while we rented her top apartment when Roger’s own Mother was ill.

Eleanor inspired us with her deep devotion to her family, her faith and St. Vincent de Paul. We had great chats, sharing stories and hearing how the Grandchildren were growing like weeds! Eleanor and Donny loved our spaniel, Mulligan , giving all of us a safe abode away from home.

We are forever grateful for Eleanor’s hospitality and kindness: we promise in her name, to pass this kindness forward!

Rest In Peace dear Eleanor... TIL we meet again! 💕
Love , Loretta and Roger Plomley

This news brings me great sadness; my sincere condolences to the Huff family for your loss. Mrs. Huff was one of a kind who will remain close in my heart forever.

I grew up with Mrs. Huff as my neighbour two doors down and she was like a third grandma to me. When I was 3 years old, she took care of me in the middle of the night as my parents rushed to the hospital for the birth of my little sister. I remember visiting Mrs. Huff on many occasions: to show off Halloween costumes, new clothes/shoes, our new puppy and to take our traditional Christmas picture in our matching pyjamas. During the summer months we would spend time with her and Donny in her screened porch area, eating cookies, catching up and playing with the colourful doilies she always kept on the window sill. Mrs. Huff was such a great baker — she always had the yummiest of treats to share. We would often joke and ask if she had any pies cooling on the kitchen window sill which would always prompt a soft, gentle chuckle.

I will miss Mrs. Huff dearly but she will never be forgotten. Unfortunately I’m only hearing of the news now which doesn’t give me the chance to make it from Quebec to Brantford in time for the visitation tomorrow, but I am sending my love and support to the family and I will be thinking of the Huff family in these coming days.

With love from,

Kate Quinlan

Joe & Kathy, Jim & Linda, I am so sorry to hear of the death of your Mom .
I had been in touch with her until she went into the Care facility. Before that had many chats on the phone and visited she and Donnie on various occasions when in the vicinity. She was a very special lady besides being a special Cousin. My prayers go out to you and your families, you will miss her so much! You have wonderful memories of a Mother/Grandmother who loved each of you so very much. Hold tight to those precious memories!
God bless and comfort you all!
