Ernest Charles Csetneky

January 15, 1931- August 19, 2017

It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, Ernie, on Saturday, August 19th, 2017 at the Brantford General Hospital in his 87th year. Beloved husband and best friend for 62 years of Ida (nee Molnar). Loving father of Sara (Paul) Clulow and David (Susan). Cherished Papa of Emily (Sean) Simpson, Derek (Jessica) Clulow, Jonathan Csetneky and Matthew Csetneky. Proud great grandfather “Papa” of Audrey Clulow and Owen Simpson. Predeceased by his parents Frank and Barbara Csetneky and sister Helen (Alex) Farkas. Dear brother of Alec (Helen) Csetneky, Margaret Racz and Shirley (Larry) Gillies. Also survived by many nieces and nephews and their families. Ernie spent many years working as a Mechanic/Service Advisor at GM dealerships in Brantford. After an “early retirement” he and his family owned and operated Oak Hill Nursery Farm for 35 years. Family and friends will be received at the “THORPE BROTHERS’ FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL”, 96 West St., on Tuesday, August 22nd, 2017 from 11am-1pm. A Funeral Service will be held in the chapel at 1pm. Interment Oakhill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
