Peacefully at the Stedman Community Hospice on Tuesday, November 28, 2006 in his 75th year. Beloved husband of Pat. Loving father of Marie Roberts (Bob), Teresa Schira (Wayne), Susan Melville (George), and Joe (Sally). Cherished grandfather of Kerri, Amy, Scott, Lisa, Ryan, Danielle, Colin, Mac, Erin and his angel in heaven Katie. Predeceased by his brother Jack and sister Mary Spencer. Loving brother-in-law of Maurice and Kay Shrubb and D’arcy Spencer. The family will receive friends at the “THORPE BROTHERS’ FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL”, 96 West Street on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm with parish prayers at 7:30 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, 133 Murray Street, on Friday, December 1, 2006 at 11 am followed by interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
