The sun has set at the end of a long day; rest peacefully weary soldier.

At the Brantford General Hospital on Tuesday April 1st 2014 in his 96th year. Predeceased by his wife Doris, his daughter Bonnie and his son David. Loving father of Brynley (Patti) and Darrell. Dear grandfather of Ryan (Theresa), Bronwen (Ronni), Lowell, Keeley, Jason (Katherine), Shane, Marlana, Lindsay (Aaron), Meaghan, Natasha, Amber and Joel (Kristen). Great grandfather to Dylan, Porter, Finn, Kieran and Jonah. Dear father-in-law to Bob Edgar and Gloria Knowles. Brother of Edith Austin, predeceased by brother Howard, sister Lena Theriault and survived by several nieces and nephews. Harry was a life long member of the Lynden Legion Branch 500, the Lynden Lions Club and a dedicated member of Lynden United Church.

The family will receive friends at the “THORPE BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL” 96 West Street on Thursday April 3rd from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. Funeral Service at the Lynden Legion, 206 Lynden Road on Friday April 4th 2014 at 11:00 am. Interment Mount Zion Cemetery.
