Lou passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on October 14, 2010.
Loving husband of 46 ½ years to Marleene (nee Fluney). Cherished
father of Sandra (Terry), Lawrence (Marie), Louis, and Gloria
(Darren). Lou will also be remembered by his brother David (Arleen),
and his 12 Grandchildren; Glenn, Brandy (Paul), Joshua (Laura),
Michael, Jeffrey, Matthew, Brantley, Benjamin, Marcus, Michaela, Grace
and Isabella, and his 3 Great-Grandchildren; Nikole, Monroe and
Tieler. Pre-deceased by his parents Robert and Gloria Burgess. Lou
worked and was well respected as a leader in the “Canadian Boating
Industry” for over 46 years. A celebration of Lou’s life will be held
at Lynden United Church, on Tuesday October 19, 2010 at 12:30 pm.
Followed by cremation. In lieu of flowers, we would ask that donations
be made in support of the ‘Canadian Heart and Stroke Fund’, ‘The MS
Society of Canada’ or ‘The Canadian Arthritis Society’. On line
