Manuel Fernandes Resendes

Manuel has been reunited with his father Manuel Fernandes Resendes and his mother Maria de Lourdes Resendes, brothers Antonio and Arcelino, and granddaughter Hope.

Manuel was a loving husband of 58 years to Dina Resendes, beloved father to Katherine, Emanuel (Rhonda) and Steven. Grandfather to Jason, Kyle, Stephanie, Alysha, Nathan, Nyah-Dawn, Atyana, Natalia, Lucas, Kayla, Zachary, Hope, Faith, and Adyson. Great grandfather to Maddison, Isabella, Sienna, Eleanor, and Brady. And loving brother to Maria de Lourdes Demelo.

Manuel enjoyed spending time with his family, friends and community. His passions were gardening, taking care of his family and playing harmonica. Manuel was always willing to lend a helping hand to whomever in need. Manuel worked at Massey Ferguson for 24 years.

Resting at Thorpe Brothers Funeral Home, 96 West Street, Brantford, Ontario, where family and friends will be received on Thursday February 5th from 5pm - 9pm. A funeral service will be held in the Thorpes Chapel on Friday February 6th 2026 at 12:00 pm. Following the service, Manuel will be laid to rest at Holy Cross Cemetery, 620 Governor's Road East, Brant, Ontario.

After the burial loved ones are welcome to join the family at the Carriage House for light snacks and refreshments.
