Margaret Hevesi

6 February, 1931 – 12 June, 2024
IN THE CARE OF

Thorpe Brothers Funeral Home & Chapel

Surrounded by her family, it is with heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Margaret Hevesi in her 94th year on Wednesday June 12, 2024.

Predeceased by her loving husband Joseph Hevesi (1999). Beloved Mother to Martha (John), Joe (Ana), and Robert (Jody). Cherished Nagymama to Megan (Ryan), Melanie (Calder), Celina (Brad), Matthew, Jay, and Andrea, and Great Nagymama to Emily, Madison and Alaina. She is survived by her sister, brother, nieces, and nephews in Hungary.

Margaret and Joseph immigrated to Canada during the Hungarian Revolution. They settled in Scotland, Ontario and farmed for over 50 years. She loved to cook, bake and garden, giving all to her loved ones. She enjoyed gathering with her family and friends and was active in the local Hungarian community.

Our family would like to thank everyone for their kindness and support during this difficult time. A private family service has taken place.

Memorial donations to St. Joseph’s Lifecare Centre, Brantford would be greatly appreciated.

The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff at St. Joseph’s Lifecare Centre Brantford for their kindness and care given to our mama.

Mama will be deeply missed by many.
