Margie Hunks

Hunks, Marguerite, “Margie”(nee Giancola) Passed away peacefully at Extendicare Halton Hills after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s Disease on January 26 at the age of 82. She is reunited with her true love and husband Ronald whom she missed dearly. She is survived by her son Mark and his wife Sheri, grandchildren Alicia and Matthew and sister Nancy (Morin). Predeceased by her mother Rose (DeRosse), father Frank and sister Teresa (McWade). Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews as well as her close friends. Margie was one whom enjoyed life to the fullest regardless of the challenges bestowed upon her and will be missed. The family wishes to thank the staff of Extendicare Halton Hills for their tireless compassion and extraordinary care over the years. Friends and family will be received at the “Thorpe Brothers Funeral Home”, 96 West Street, Brantford on Tuesday January 31 from 6-9 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, February 1 at 10 a.m. at St Pius X Church, 9 Waverly St, Brantford. Donations in Margie’s memory can be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
