Born in Poland. Beloved wife of Witold Michniewicz (2005). Sister of Anna Lesiak, Helena Kisiel, the late Jan Hamera, and the late Wladzia Bednarek. Aunt to niece Irena (Ryszard) Baluk and their family Daniel, Annette (Brian), Mattias, Melissa (Ali), Mark (Kaitlin). Nephew Stanislaw (Mieczyslawa) Lesiak and family, Mariusz (Debbie), Logan, Darek (Denise), Agnes, Summer, Angela (Jessie), Madelyn and Jacob. Nephew Zygmunt (Zofia) Lesiak and grand-nephew Saturnin Kondratiew. Cousin Grzegorz (Anna) Kaczmarczyk and their children, Michael and Victoria. Cousin Ala (Russel) Clark and family, Marcin (Malgosia) and children, Magda (Emere). In Poland, nieces Zofia Sieradzka and family, Halina K. and family and Zofia N. and family and in Sweden, Lucy (Leif) and many other cousins in Poland, France and Canada. Marianna was a devoted and active member of the St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, St. Joseph’s Catholic Women’s League. Member and President of the Polish Lady’s Circle SPK #4 since 1971. She was decorated with medals and diplomas. She loved to travel all over the world, supported many church and historical places in Poland and Canada. Her passion was flowers and gardening. Special thank you to the staff of the John Noble Home, Mohawk Terrace for their help and support over the years, especially their warmth and professionalism the last few days. The family will receive friends at the “THORPE BROTHERS’ FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL”, 96 West St., on Friday, September 25, 2020 from 6-9pm. Parish Prayers at 8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, 235 Brant Ave., on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at 10am. Interment to follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
