Marion Hilda Burtch

BURTCH, Marion Hilda: Marion passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Lifecare Centre, Brantford ON on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at the age of 93. At long last, Marion has been reunited with her beloved husband Norm (2005). She was the loving mother of David (Sandra) and Steven (Kathryn), grandmother of Tara (Jordan), Dana (Ian), James (Elizabeth) & Daniel, and great-grandmother of Gavin, Nixon, Whitney, Grant, Juliette and Heidi. Marion was predeceased by her parents, Daniel & Gertrude (Vickers) McWhirter. Marion lived a very full life with her husband Norm for 52 years. Their passion for travelling took them around the globe, visiting 40 countries throughout their years together. Marion helped Norm operate a petroleum business serving Brant and Norfolk counties for several years and also worked in a number of clerical and retail roles in Brantford. Marion enjoyed square dancing, bowling and playing cards and continued to travel to several other countries on her own after Norm’s passing. Following Marion’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A private graveside service will be held in Oakland Cemetery at a later date. Special thanks to the nursing staff at St. Joseph’s Lifecare Centre for the exceptional care provided to Marion.
