Mary Elizabeth Kalichuk

After a courageous battle, peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Hamilton on Wednesday July 13th 2016 in her 85th year. Beloved wife of the late Walter Kalichuk and devoted mother of Sharon and Domenic D’Amato. Loving Nana to Dannielle, Dante, Marco and Liam. Dear sister of Edna Graham and Margie O’Toole and sister-in-law of Anna Byrne and Rudy Albonico. Predeceased by brothers Fred and Jim Byrne, sisters Jean Byrne and Florie Albonico, brothers-in-law Bernard O’Toole, Bill Graham, Stephen and John Kalichuk, sisters-in-law Katie Tremblay and Sue Byrne and her nephews Doug and Wayne Graham. Much loved by many nieces, nephews and long-time friends. Mary was an active member of St. Pius X Catholic Women’s League for over 50 years. Her joy of life and love for her family will stay with us until we meet again. The family will receive friends at the “Thorpe Brothers’ Funeral Home and Chapel” 96 West Street on Friday July 15th from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 7:00 to 9:00 pm with CWL Prayers at the funeral home at 3:30 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Pius X Church, 9 Waverly Street on Saturday July 16th at 10:00 am. Interment St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
