Mr. Colombo was the first person I met when I moved to Wells Ave. To be honest, I wasn't in a very good place, emotionally, adjusting to a new home after 17 years living in the same place but as soon as I met him, he brightened my day. I saw him sitting on his front porch (as he often did) and I walked over and asked him when garbage day was. He was so kind and welcoming to me and instantly made me feel better about my new home. He told me that if I needed anything at all, to just let him know and I know he meant it. Once I was fully moved in, he came over with one of his prized bottles of homemade wine and invited me over for Sunday supper. Unfortunately I couldn't go that day but I said I would for sure come another time. What a kind and generous soul he was. My one regret is that I never did make it over for that supper and I will always regret that. We were so saddened to hear of his illness and passing. My sincere condolences go out to Elaine and Joe and your families. I know, having only known him for a short time, that he will be sadly missed.

Dear Elaine – We were so sorry to hear about Mike's passing. I met him in the Spring of 1954 in Rome. I always remember him as being a very gentle person as well as a hardworking and loving husband and father. I hope you will find comfort with your wonderful children and grandchildren.

Our sincere condolences, much love Aunt Josephine, Louisa, Bernice, and Angela.

Elaine and family, we were sorry to see that Michael has died. We send our sincere and deepest sympathy as you deal with this big void in your lives. Our boys, Marshall and Grant often talked about the great times they had at your place on Oriole Parkway and they enjoyed how Michael interacted with them. Sadly, we are missing Grant who died five years ago. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Jane & Ashton .. Oshawa ON
