

Stan passed away peacefully at McGarrell Place (LTC) in London in his 100th year. Beloved husband of the late Frances for 69 years. Dear and loving father of Gary (Arlene), James (Brenda), and Karen. Cherished grandfather (Jacku) of Marissa, Danielle, Jenna and Benjamin and great grandfather of Emilia and Enzo. Predeceased by his parents Joseph and Agnes Gavloski, and siblings Walter (Evelyn), Mary (Wilfred), John (Ethel), Steve (Betty) and Edward. He is survived by brother Frank and Edward’s wife Helen, and the late Jenny Heckendorn (Ross), along with many nieces and nephews. Stan worked as a manager at Sonoco Products Limited in Brantford for 49 plus years, and was a devoted member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, the Polish Mutual Benefit and Friendly Society and St. Pius Catholic Church 50 club. He was a WW2 war Veteran. He enjoyed spending time with family, puttering at home, and in his retirement years continued his love of fishing and golfing with his family and friends. Stan was known for his kind heart, gentle demeanour, and loving spirit. He brought a smile to all those he met. He was surrounded by loving family, particularly Arlene and Gary whom were attentive to his needs while he was at McGarrell Place in London. He was always ready to be challenged to a game of cribbage. The family extends their sincere gratitude to Dr. Karen Lo, Dr. Anna Johnson and the entire staff at McGarrell Place, and especially on Ivey Lane, for their wonderful care and compassion. Visitation will be at 10:00 am Tuesday April 15, followed by a Catholic Service at 11:00 am at Thorpe Bros. Funeral Home, 96 West St., Brantford. A small reception will follow immediately at Thorpe Bros. Carriage House. A private Christian burial will be at Our Lady of Assumption Mausoleum, Holy Cross Cemetery, Paris.
