My condolences to Mary Jo and family. My connection with Wayne goes back to Graham Bell Public School, Grade One or Two, then James Hillier Public School followed by BCI &VS. Although I moved away from Brantford in 1968, I always heard about Wayne, his family and activities through my brothers, Don and Howard Cornfoot. Always a happy and competitive spirit!!!! May your memories of your lives together and his love for you, eventually, bring peace and comfort.

Going to miss the sheet 6 club. Had many competitive battles back in the day, and lots of fun games in the Monday league. The golf trips to Turkey Point. We had a lot of laughs. So long Wayne.

It was sad to read about your Dad today. I got to know him a little back in the mid/late 80's when he was an owner of the Nissan dealership and and a nicer guy you could not meet.  I'm sorry for your loss.

So sorry to hear the sad news of the passing of Wayne. 
I had the pleasure of playing slo pitch with and against him. 
He was competitive to say the least and losing was never taken lightly.

My sincere condolences to Mary Jo, Jay, Chad and families. 
I have many fond memories of my life long friend Wayne. We competed against each other in School Boy hockey and also Church League hockey as young boys.
As adults we spent countless hours playing Slo Pitch softball and curling together.
Wayne was always a fierce competitor and gave a one hundred percent effort. After the game he loved to get together with his teammates over a beer. 
Wayne was a devout Blue Jays fan and I enjoyed his company at many Jays games.
Wayne also had a passion for automobiles starting with his 1951 Ford  in high school and culminating with becoming manager at Brantford Nissan.
I will miss you Wayne, and may you Rest In Peace.

My family moved to Brantford around 1950 and we lived on the upper floor of the Allen home on the Strand for a few months or so until my family bought a home. So my memories of Wayne go back over 70 years.
Wayne and I reconnected through curling in the mid 70's and '80's. Fierce competitor and fun-loving guy. He liked the odd pint or two.
I am so sorry to learn of his passing and our thoughts are with all of you at this very difficult time.
