Dan was my first acquaintance at Evangel College, Springfield Missouri, in the fall of 1959.  We were both Minnesota farm boys, beginning Freshmen, and were dorm mates and became fast friends.  He was definitely a Man of God, steadfast in his belief in the saving grace of our Savior, and mature beyond his years, even then.  Fair Winds and Following Seas, my friend, Godspeed. My condolences to the family of Dan Peterson with whom I was a student at Evangel College.  I remember his kind and gentle spirit.   Blessings on you today.

I grew up with Dan in Church "The Detroit Lakes Assembly of God, He was a lot like his dad who was a real gentleman and after Dan left Detroit Lakes, I never saw him much but he will always be remembered and cherished. I am sorry to hear of his passing, but he will always be remembered as a kind, caring man and one you could depend on in all instances. God bless his memory..

"Doc" was a wonderful man of God. He always had a smile on his face. My family had the pleasure of serving in ministry with he and his wife, Lois, at Hillcrest Assembly in Bremerton. Those were special years. Our condolences to the Peterson family.

I worked on the third floor in Family Practice and chatted with Capt. Peterson on a daily basis when he was working in Peds an a joining clinic. I had the pleasure to have Mrs. Peterson as a patient when I was working in the Physical Therapy Clinic. DOC was a fantastic man and  I appreciated receiving  his advice and wisdom. Yes, he will be missed by all of us who had the Honor and Pleasure of knowing this wonderful man.

"Doc" Peterson, was a occasional patron of the NHB, Terrace Dining Room.
He was always very pleasant and cordial, always a smile and a "Thank You" for a great meal. His great attitude and kind words will be missed by all the staff of the Terrace Dining Room and all of NHB.

Dan was a great man who left this world a much better place, not just for the many boys he mentored, but for all of us.  I greatly admired him.  My sympathies to his family.

Dan, I will miss your patient wisdom and your constant grace in adversity!  I wish I had had more time with you to absorb your vast knowledge on so many topics.  I will aspire all my life to serve as you did and to run my own race for Jesus as you ran yours--with abandon.  I am very much looking forward to the day we meet again in heaven and worship Him together!
