Doris Deloris Zellers

With deep love and cherished memories, we celebrate the life of Doris D. Zellers, who passed away peacefully just days before her 76th birthday. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Doris was a radiant light to all who knew her.

Born in Newellton, Louisiana, Doris was the cherished daughter of Jerry and Rosa Mae Willis. She was a loving sister to Jimmy Willis, Lowdell Nixon, Jerry Willis, Helen Pearl, and Larry Willis.

On August 26, 1978, Doris married the love of her life, Ralph Zellers. Together they built a home rooted in faith, love, and unwavering devotion to family.

Doris dedicated over 30 years of service to the Federal Government, where her hard work, integrity, and compassion earned her the respect of her colleagues and numerous awards for outstanding service. More than just a career, her work became a place of friendship and purpose—she truly loved what she did and the people she worked alongside.

A faithful and devoted member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Bremerton, Sister Doris served with a joyful heart as an usher and in the hospitality ministry. She found joy in preparing food for others, especially her famous banana pudding—a dish she poured her heart into, knowing the happiness it brought to everyone who tasted it.

Doris’s greatest joy was found in her family. She was a nurturing and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, always providing a safe and loving home filled with encouragement, warmth, and grace. Her presence was a source of comfort, her wisdom a guiding light, and her love an anchor that held her family close.

Doris is survived by her devoted husband of 46 years, Ralph Zellers; her loving children, Nancy Zellers, Randy Zellers, and Tracy Edwards; and her precious grandchildren, Kayiah Zellers, Isaiah Edwards, Caleb Edwards, and Bryce Edwards.

Though her physical presence will be deeply missed, her legacy of love, kindness, and faith will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
