That cute picture of your mom pulling on the log, is with my dear aunt Evelyn. 
The one of them in front of the train must be when they went on the "Dinner Train", which was a fabulous ride from Renton, to the Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery, in Woodinville. 
I'm sorry to hear about Halice, too. It makes me sad when these wonderful people leave the earth. My heart goes out to your family for this tremendous loss.

Thank you Kathy and Lorraine for your memories of Mom.  She talked about her times with you all many times!  I even found an older picture of her, Lorraine and Evelyn standing in front of a train (which they all rode on) and I found your Mom and Dad's wedding photo with Mom and Halice as maids of honor!  

You mentioned Halice, she sadly passed away a half dozen years ago at the age of 85.
She loved you family as well!

Speaking of old pictures I found a few older ones of Mom while looking through her stuff, it showed Mom in her younger days with Dad (before I was even born), I think my sister Jennifer would love them.  Anyway, thanks for your memories of Mom she cherished your family like her own!

We're so sorry to hear about Eileen. I would have loved to have brought my mom over to Bremerton, to see her, but didn't know where she was at.
My mom (Lorraine) met Eileen at Edison Technical School - probably in the late 1940's.  Eileen and her sister Halice, then moved next door to my mom and grandparents (and aunt Evelyn) on Beacon Hill, in Seattle. Eileen and Halice were very good friends of our family and they were both part of my mom and dad's wedding party.
My mom remembers Eileen and Halice coming over and playing cards until the wee hours of the morning (I think it was Canasta). 
My mom considered Eileen to be part of their family and my aunt Evelyn was Eileen's God Mother.

I failed to mention that Mom took great pride in completing The March of Dimes walk for 10 years in a row, her last was when Dad was sick but (he insisted on her fulfilling her goal).  Mom Raised a lot of money for that organization, one year (1986) The Bremerton Sun wrote an article about her, citing "Sandwich Lady has gone by the boards after walk-a-thon".  A local recycling  plant sponsored her to carry a sandwich board advertising their business.  Mom was very proud of this feat and I feel terrible not mentioning this in the first place.

Thank you Theresa for remembering Mom, we here just got through looking through some home movies of our mom and Joe's first born.  I am glad we took those videos!  I hope everyone there is staying healthy, John's here and he saids "hi", later cousin!

You will be missed by many. May you rest in peace Aunt Eileen.

Thanks Dennis, Mom was a very wonderful person and we here will miss her immensely.  She had a nice service and our whole family was there, and we got her the same casket design, etc. as our dad!  Also, I asked everyone here and they all remember the fun we all had with you and your brother Dan!

My heartfelt condolences to the Klein family.  It has been many years since I was last with your family.  But, I have many fun memories of our time spent together.  Your Mom was a wonderful lady and anyone who spent time with her would understand why your Dad married her.  Concentrate on the loving memories you have and the sadness will ease.  God Bless all of you.

I had the pleasure of being Mom's caregiver for the last 10 years of her life.  She always had a smile for me and all caregivers and nurses.  Mom spent the last 39 months in bed and now nearly 2 weeks after her passing, it's tough for me not to automatically go into her room to check on her.  I thoroughly enjoyed helping my Mom and I am very glad to have the opportunity be her caregiver!  Mom, I love you and I love Dad and I promise to come and visit you and Dad on your "view property" on Miller Woodlawn's hill!  Peace be with you and I wish you were still with us.
