Kenneth W. Rogers, Sr., of Port Orchard, WA, passed away peacefully on July 4, 2025, at the age of 72.
Ken was born September 16, 1952, in Baltimore, Maryland, to the late Donald and Anne Rogers.
After graduating from Severna Park High School in 1970, he worked for A&P for ten years and then Mack Trucks, retiring after 33 years of dedicated service. He was devoted to his family and loved spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren. Ken was an avid sports fan. He loved coaching his sons’ teams with Glen Burnie Baseball and Greater Glen Burnie Junior Sports League. When not coaching, he attended many Orioles and Ravens games a season ticket holder and collected sports memorabilia. After retirement, Ken moved to Port Orchard, WA, to surround himself with his grandchildren. He attended many of their baseball games, soccer matches, and theater performances – there was no doubt that “Pop Pop” was their biggest fan. He enjoyed yardwork, country music, photography, meeting famous people with his sister, playing Secret Santa to those in need, and having the most envied light display in his yard during Christmas.
Ken is survived by his wife of 54 years, Elaine; sons, Kenneth Jr. (Rachel), Charles (Wayne), and Scott; grandchildren, Kody, Maya, and Ryan; and sister Sandra Ahern (Kenneth).
The family will honor his life and memory at a Celebration of Life service at Meadowridge Memorial Park, in Elkridge, MD. The date and time for this service are yet to be determined, and the family will share this information once arrangements are made. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donating to The American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org) in Ken’s name.
