

Michael B. Dickert, LCDR, Retired passed away peacefully in his home in Poulsbo on Dec 14, 2014 where he has resided with his wife Margaret for the last 25 plus years. Mike was the eldest of three siblings born to Robert and Frances Dickert in Jamestown, New York. He is preceded by his parents, his nephew, father-in-law and brother-in-law.
Funeral Services will be held Jan 2nd 2015 at Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home at 11.00 am followed by laying him to rest at Island Lake Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be held immediately following the services at the Elks Club, Bremerton where Mike was a member.
Mike grew up in Canton, Conn. graduating in 1962 from high school. Mike served in the US Navy from April 1965 to Nov 1991 when he retired as LCDR. Throughout his 27 years of Navy career he was awarded many awards and commendations such as; Navy Commendation metal (3), Navy Achievement metal (3), Navy unit commendation (2), Meritorious unit commendation (5), Navy “E” Ribbon (5), Navy expeditionary metal/National Defense service medal(2), Vietnam Service Metal(2)
He later was employed as a senior analyst for Calabria working at Hanford, in Eastern Washington until he retired in 2010. He was very active with the Elks Club in Bremerton as a trustee of the board.
Mike leaves behind his wife Margaret Dickert, his daughters and spouses Heather & Eddie, three grandsons Mateo, Max, and Mikkeal and Charlene & Steven one grandson Gabriel, three granddaughters Nicealia, Annabelle and Harper. Mike also leaves two brothers Tom and Pat and their spouses Maria and Sherry and many nieces and nephews whom he loved all dearly. Mike was a very active family man and proud grandfather, he loved being with his grandchildren - he attended their football and basketball games, took them on vacations and was involved in their lives as much as possible.
