

Patricia Ann Johnson, loving known as Pat passed away peacefully on on August 14,2024, at the age of 92. She was surrounded by her family, who filled her final days with love. She leaves behind by 3 children; William (Laurel) Johnson of Port Orchard, WA ,Warren Johnson of Olalla, WA, Andrea, ( Mike) Arns of Olalla, WA, a niece Karen ( David ) Bishop of Erie, Colorado, and 6 grandchildren ,7 great grandchildren and great great grandchild on the way. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband Monty Johnson, and beloved sister Jo Palmer.
Pat was born in Phoenix Arizona on July 26, 1932, to Helen and George Nelson. Her family lived is various places before settling in Bremerton, WA. However, Pat cherished her childhood in Port Angeles the most, despite the lack of modern conveniences of indoor plumbing. Pat was proud Graduate of Bremerton High in 1950. She played on women’s varsity basketball team and had a beautiful letterman sweater in possession.
Her career began at Pacific Northwest Bell, in Bremerton where she worked alongside her sister and mother. She later worked at Rainer Bank where she was reacquainted with her now late husband Monty Johnson. They were married at the Manette Community Church on November 22, 1962. Together Pat and Monty built their forever home in Bremerton Washington and raised three children Bill, Warren, and Andrea.
Pat and Monty started and operated their own family business Frontier Meats. The first location was on Wheaton Way, and they later moved the business to Kitsap Way then Manette. Their family business was memorable to their family and family worked with them. After Monty retired due to an illness Pat began working a Harrison Hospital at front desk, communication department. She remained at Harrison until the age of 77. Pat loved working at the hospital and took great pride with assisting patients and their families.
Pat’s greatest joy in life was being with her family. Having never known her grandparents, she made it a priority that her family remained close-knit. She instilled in her family the importance of prioritizing and valuing time together. Trips to Fort Worden with the family was a favorite.
Although, later in life Pat was unable to travel she lived alongside her family, with frequent large family gatherings. The house filled with sounds of grandchildren laughing and playing. She was known for her quick wit and humorous comments.
Pat was the matriarch of our family and set an example of a life well lived. Being loving and kind to all people and animals. Please join us for a Memorial Service for Patricia Johnson on September 21, 2024, at 1pm at the Manette Community Church. Please no flower and send donations to any animal shelter or the Coffee Oasis in her honor.
A memorial service for Patricia will be held Saturday, September 21, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Manette Community Church, 1137 Hayward Ave, Bremerton, WA 98310. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home and Memorial Park.
