Sharon Joanne Plowman, 83, of Bremerton, Wash., went to be with the Lord on Sept. 25, 2020. She passed with family by her side. Her final hours were spent listening to worship songs sung by Elvis, including her favorite “In The Garden,” which brought a peaceful smile to her face.
Sharon was born in Spooner, Wis., on July 22, 1937. She graduated from Bremerton High School in 1955. She was named the YMCA Girl of the Year--twice!--in Bremerton. Sharon also spent many years as an East High School lunch lady and for decades former students took the time to say hello when they saw her in town.
A woman loved by so many, she herself loved God, her family and friends, her church, and the Seattle Mariner’s. For more than 20 years, Sharon would travel, with one of her good friends to Peoria, Ariz., each year to watch the Mariner’s Spring Training. Her family believes she owned most, if not all, of the Mariner’s bobblehead ever distributed at the games! Take Me Out To The Ballgame, was one of the last songs she enjoyed before passing.
Sharon is survived by her
Daughter: Kimberly Sincich (Mike), Daughter-in-law: Sandra Plowman, five Grandchildren, two Great-Grandchildren, and many Nieces and Nephews.
She was preceded in death by her Father: David Holliday, Mother: Jessie, Brothers: Bill and Randy, and Son: Kenneth Plowman.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Franciscan Hospice and Palliative Care, 2901 Bridgeport Way W., University Place, WA 98466.
Sharon’s family would also like to thank The Cottage at Cascade of Bremerton.
Due to current restrictions, Sharon’s memorial will be limited to family, but all are encouraged to watch the next Mariner’s game in her honor.
