Steven was born in Moorehead, MN and his family moved to Reno, NV in 1947. In Nevada, he met his wife Sharon and they had a wonderful 42 years of marriage. Steve had served with the Nevada National Air Guard, and the Air Force in Vietnam. He worked for the Nevada Division of Forestry for 25 years. When he retired from NDF, he and Sharon relocated to Morro Bay, CA where he worked for MBFD. Steve was a ham radio operator for 61 years. Steve and Sharon loved costal living and ultimately settled in Port Orchard, WA. Steve is survived by his wife, Sharon; son, Brian; daughter-in-law, Lea; 2 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren; and sons Lance and David. There will be a small, private family service. In lieu of flowers, please sent donations to the American Heart Association or Kitsap Humane Society.
