Dearest Deborah (my dearest step mom)
I saw on your FB page where you wrote, about Deborah "I love Jesus and I'm looking forward to going to heaven." One thing I know for sure is that you loved Church of Christ and served there faithfully. Thank you for taking me to church as a young child. I never left the church it was just the beginning of my journey to finding Christ. You are at home in heaven with a host of family and friends. You will be deeply missed. You will forever be in my heart always. Gone to soon.
You would often say to me at the end of our conversations ok Sylvia. Tonight I say to you ok Deborah job well done servant of the LORD rest in peace I love you.


Deborah was a giver of gifts, a teacher, a passionate believer in Christ.  She was a hard worker and a force to be reckoned with.

I will miss her and I know her large family and many friends will also.

"When we all get to heaven, what a day of rejoicing that will be!"  
It will be a day of unity and of love as we all share in the presence of the Messiah, the Spirit, and God Himself. 



To Deborah Family  ///  Deborah and I worked together at FMS.  Her husband Bob was Commissioner of the Fort Lincoln area.  They had a good life together.   She will be missed and remembered, but now with God.  She had a good life.

I have many very pleasant memories of Deborah. She will be greatly missed. She was a very generous hearted person. She was a passionate and faithful believer in the word and the body of Christ and the church of Christ. She was a true Sister in Christ. She was a great bible school teacher as well as a wonderful prayer line sister. She was with the 13th street prayer line sisters from the very beginning some eleven years ago. I will greatly miss her presence. She was a beautiful example of a faithful christian women. I remember she was always prayerful about her family members. Deborah had a hat shop store. She loved wearing hats. Deborah loved the Lord and was a passionate and faithful christian woman. I will greatly miss her. Sister Diane Jones

This is Peter from Busia, Uganda Africa and one of the members of and gospel preacher at Sihubira Church of Christ, Busia Uganda Africa.
I'm very sorry for the passing of our beloved, loving, caring, great and wonderful steward, Deborah King. Brother Winston S Chambers from US recommended her to me in 2016. Since then and especially at our local church we haven't had, seen blessed with such a sister or brother like our dearest sister, Deborah King. She has supported the Lord's work here from her own money, churches were planted and now thriving, evangelism, edification and church building repairs have been going on up to 21st July 2020 from 2017. We are still mourning and our eyes are filled with tears of sorrow because she passed away one day after sending $100 and talking to us, we were and still very shocked it's true sister Deborah passed away from this broken world, we are confident however that she's in paradise now and waiting for us, she ran a very remarkable Christian race, we will never ever forget about her, her love for God and fellow people still cherish, influence and motivate us.
I therefore send our condolences and prayers that God comfort the bereaved family through this time of loss, we loved her but God loved her more.
We love you and we are spiritually united.

My family met Bob, Deborah and their beautiful family as neighbors when we moved into Fort Lincoln in 1976.  We remained neighbors until 2002 and steadfast friends until now!!! I knew Deborah as a caring and loving wife and mother.  There's nothing she wouldn't do for you!! 
 I'm still in disbelief that she's no longer with us. Although she's physically absent, she's with us spiritually.
MAY THE BEAUTIFUL MEMORIES WE MADE TOGETHER, SUSTAIN US IN THIS VERY DIFFICULT TIME!!

RIP Deborah, thank you for being my step Mom, my bonus Mom, for loving us and being there for us. Thanks for helping me become the woman I am today. I will always cherish the memories and the love we shared.  Sheila

I am very thankful to have spent a great deal of time with my dear Sister King. Her meek and gentle spirit will remain a source of encouragement for me in my Christian walk. Our time together at 13th Street church of Christ was a true blessings and knowing that she was faithful in her walk with the Lord brings great joy and comfort to my heart. I am sending lots of love and praying for peace and strength for her family during this time. 

I have fond memories of Deborah while we worked together at Treasury Financial Management Service.  Deborah exhibited her Christian attributes in the workplace and wasn't ashamed to be a witness for Christ.  Rest in Heavenly Peace my Sister Deborah King.


I had the opportunity of working with Deborah King as we taught Bible Class to the Primary children at the 13th Street Church of Christ.  Both of us enjoyed working with the children.
 
She enjoyed having fellowship gatherings at her home where she invited her Church family to just come & enjoy each other as they pleased.  Of course;  she  would have her camera ready for taking pictures  whether you were ready or not.  She will truly be missed.  In fact, I miss her already.  She was truly a beautiful & loving person.  She loved everybody.

Deborah King was an active member of the 13th Street Church of Christ Prayer Line Sisters for 11 years.  She prayed with us every Thursday from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm and read the Bible with us too.  Deborah always prayed for her family, lifting them up in prayer 🙏🏽 to God.  We will continue to pray for the Johnson and King families.

Sis King impacted the lives  of my family in  such a positive way.  As soon as our daughter was born, my husband and I wanted our daughter to be in Bible Study, just as we grew up. It was a milestone.  When our daughter was about 16 months old, Sis King and Sis Whitehead welcomed our daughter into their classroom.  They were an amazing team. Sis King was an excellent teacher, always meeting the kids where they were.  My daughter learned all 66 books of the Bible from Sis King and Sis Whitehead.
 I had the honor of working with Sis King, as we visited nursing homes . She was passionate about ministry especially anything that had to do with children.  She led many to Christ, (let her works speak for her at the gate). Thank you Sis King, your life was a gift to many.

I will miss you.  The Lord has another angel for his troupe.  Love you.  Lottie Thompson

Deborah Ann Johnson-King was my Sister in Christ.  She LOVE THE LORD with all of her heart ❤️.   I will dearly miss her but I know her good works will follow her!!
