Golena Mae Vaughn Thompson (Pat), age 82, passed away peacefully on September 6, 2024. She was born June 20, 1942 to the late John and Lura (Blankenship) Vaughn in Leesburg, Va. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Thompson, grandson, Ryan Thompson, stepmother, Roxie Fleeman and life partner William E. Wright
Left to cherish her memories are her children, Jack Thompson and wife Pamela, Deborah Hughes and husband Jeffery, Rebecca Thompson, and Karen Martinez and husband Gonzolo; sisters, Panzie Whittaker Robertson and Bonnie Dunford; 15 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
Pat loved caring for family and friends. Her passion was gardening, planting flowers and admiring the colorful trees she’d nurtured over 60 years at her Bladensburg, Md home.
A service to be held 12:00pm Monday, September 16, 2024at Fort Lincoln Cemetery, Brentwood, Md.
