

Mrs. Gwendolyn Bernice White departed this life on the morning of December 14, 2019. She was born as the 7th of eight children to Ranald Parsons and Linnette Hinds on July 22, 1948. She attended Church of God as a child where she gave her life to the Lord.
Gwendolyn , affectionately known as ¨Ms. G¨ to her family was a smart student growing up in St. Mary, Jamaica, W.I. She attended Iona Prep and High School. After her graduation from Iona, she attended Moneague Teachers College.
Gwendolyn worked as a teacher for Jacks River Primary School. She later served as the vice-principal for Ramble All Age School. Upon immigrating to the U.S., she still found the need to help others so she became a nurse practitioner.
Gwendolyn was an avid sports fan. She loved cricket, netball, track and field and basketball. Her favorite team was the San Antonio Spurs basketball team. She enjoyed traveling home to Jamaica and spending time communing with her friends and family. She also enjoyed various outings including playing slots at the casino, going to the theater and shopping. She loved baking. Everybody had a favorite of hers- Toto and carrot cake to name a few.
Gwendolyn was a loving and protective mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and teacher. She often times put the needs of others before her own. Her motto was ¨If it needs to be done and I can help, I will do it.¨
She was preceded in death by her siblings Percy, George and Florette. Those left to cherish memories are her devoted husband Linden, loving sons Dave, Ryon and Dextor, grandchildren Akeem, Makyah, Hanna, Mekhi, Makeda, Immanuel, Jada, and RJ, devoted siblings, Delroy, Adele, Edna, and Noreen, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors, and friends.
