Kathleen A. Shore of Vienna, Virginia passed away on 9/16/2023 after a long battle with Parkinson's Disease and Dementia.
Born July 11,1945 she was the daughter of the late Marsten Shore and Josephine (Reese) Shore.
Kathy worked as a secretary and book editor for the Federal Government. She retired in 2014, after 43 years of Services.
She loved gardening, nature and spending time at the beach. She especially enjoyed birds. She was an avid reader and fan of music, movies, and television.
Kathy is survived by her two children, daughter Dawn T. Gomez and husband Fernando of Boyce, VA. and son David C. Funkhouser and wife Cynthia of Harpers Ferry, WV; grandson Matthew Funkhouser and granddaughter Josie Funkhouser, Brother Terence Shore and family of LA Crosse, WI; and 1granddog, and several grandcats.
