Kwok Ying Chow, of Silver Spring, Maryland, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 11, 2025 at age 77. Kwok Ying was born on October 23, 1948 to Kan Sau Nip and Siu Wah Chow in Shanghai, China where she was raised and lived until a young adult. She went to immigrate to the United States of America with her family in the 1980s.
In her lifetime, Kwok Ying dedicated herself to supporting her family. She was a selfless sister, wife, mother, and grandmother who always put the needs of loved ones before her own. She especially adored her three grandchildren, whom she helped raise to become the loving souls they are today . Kwok Ying spent her free time reading, walking, and living a simple life.
Kwok Ying is survived by her husband of 40 years, Chak Pui Yip; her son, Robert Yip; her grandchildren Everett, Harrison, and Nolan; her brothers Hak Kai, Hak Tung, and Norman; and her sisters Kwai Chun and Kan Nui.
