Ms. Marguerite Long Pusey

Age 102

Rita Pusey of Bethesda, MD. Passed away peacefully in her sleep at Casey House in Rockville, MD on July 22, 2023. She had been married to Charles S. Pusey, who pre-deceased her in 2005. She and her sister Mary were daughters of Julian and Viola Long of Washington D.C.

She is survived by a Daughter, Sharon Lyons (husband deceased) and son Albert (Janice).

Charles Pusey had a brother Lewis B Pusey who had two sons Bob and Ted who reside with their wives in Northern Virginia both parents are deceased.

Rita had two grandsons, Christian Lyons (Jennifer), Justus Lyons (Frances) two great grandsons, and a great granddaughter.

Rita’s sister Mary (who pre-deceased her) was married to Walter B Nelson who is living in North Carolina and has sons and grand children living in different parts of the country.

Rita spent most of her working career at the library of medicine in Bethesda, MD. Holding a high position until she retired.

Great appreciation goes to Mom’s great neighbors, Tom and Andrea Lynch and family for their support. Also, want to give a special mention to Ruth Bortz, Mom’s best friend. Our appreciation also goes out to Mom’s good neighbors Harold and Adele Seifried

Rita was a very loving mother and person always wanting to give and expect nothing in return. She had a long life and will be sorely missed.
