“To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die…” – Ecclesiastes 3:1–2
Oluwadamilola Sadare, 65, of Maryland, was born in Ibadan, Nigeria, and entered into eternal rest on September 4, 2025. She was the beloved daughter of the late Pa Moses Akinsehinwa Akinmurele (Napoleon) and Madam Juliana Olapeju Akinmurele. One of four children, she cherished her family and nurtured relationships that spanned continents.
On December 20, 1987, Oluwadamilola was united in marriage to her devoted husband, Olujide Sadare. Together, they started their family in Nigeria and were blessed with three sons: Oluwatobi Sadare, Temitayo Sadare, and Omotade Sadare. In 1996, the family relocated to Maryland, joining relatives who had already immigrated, as her husband had been granted permission to move to the United States through the Immigrant Lottery System. Their marriage was a testament to thirty-seven years of love, faith, and partnership.
Oluwadamilola’s professional journey began in Nigeria, where she earned her Secretary certification from Federal Training College and dedicated many years of service to the Federal Ministry of Works, in Lagos. After relocating to the United States, she earned her certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant and devoted herself to caring for others, using her work to serve God’s people.
Above all, Oluwadamilola was a woman of faith. “Who can find a virtuous woman? For her price is far above rubies… Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come.” – Proverbs 31:10, 25 She loved God and His people wholeheartedly, and her life was a testimony of prayer, compassion, and service.
She delighted in cooking, traveling, dancing, and celebrating life with family and friends. Known as the life of the party, her vibrant spirit and joyful laughter left lasting impressions on everyone she met. Most of all, she adored her children and grandchildren, pouring into them the love, wisdom, and faith that only a devoted mother and grandmother could give.
Oluwadamilola is survived by her loving husband, Olujide Sadare; her sons, Oluwatobi Sadare, Temitayo Sadare (Leah Sadare), and Omotade Sadare; her grandchildren, Malaki Sadare and Exodus Sadare; her brother, Stephen Akindele Akinmurele (Marilyn Akinmurele, née Abiness); her sister, Flora Olaotan Okurume (Deacon Sunday Okurume); her nephews, Otega Ifeoluwa Okurume and Tomide A; and a host of relatives, church family, and friends who were blessed to know her.
“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.” – 2 Timothy 4:7
“In my Father’s house are many mansions… I go to prepare a place for you.” – John 14:2 “He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain.” – Revelation 21:4
Oluwadamilola Sadare will be remembered as a faithful wife, a loving mother and grandmother, a devoted sister, and a virtuous woman whose life reflected God’s grace, joy, and love. Her legacy of faith, laughter, and devotion will continue to inspire all who knew her
