Quartense Elizabeth Wade, passed away on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 in Maryland at the age of 88. Funeral and burial services will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2017 beginning at 9:30a.m. at Fort Lincoln Funeral Home, 3401 Bladensburg Road in Brentwood, Maryland 20722. Quartense was born on May 1, 1928 in Lenoir, North Carolina. She graduated from Howard University with a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy. Soon after graduating with honors, she married George W. Jett and moved to Cleveland, Ohio where they raised four children, George W. Jett Jr., Edith M. Jett, Constance L. Jett and David A. Jett. After relocating to Washington D.C. she continued her illustrious career as a pharmacist with the District of Columbia Government. Later in life she married Harry Stokes and subsequently, Alfred Wade. She is survived by her four children, seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
