Gloria Clark

Gloria graduated from Paseo High School in 1948, where she was a talented athlete. Her love of sports stayed with her throughout her life. When she was younger, she especially enjoyed attending Kansas City Royals and Chiefs games with her sister, LaVona. After leaving Kansas City, she continued to faithfully follow her teams by listening to games on the radio or watching them on television.

She was united in marriage to the love of her life, Marvin J. Clark, and they shared many happy years together until his passing in 1984. Gloria chose to stay home while her children were growing up, dedicating herself fully to her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, and will be remembered for her steady presence, warm heart, and the deep love she had for those closest to her.

She is survived by her children, Marva Hutchinson (Steve) and Andrew Clark (Beth); grandchildren, Mike, Clark, Van, James, Quentin, Mary Beth, Tera, and Laura; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and her siblings, Quentin, Lynus, LaVona, and John.

A visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., followed by graveside services at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at Maple Hill Funeral Home & Cemetery, 3300 Shawnee Drive, Kansas City, Kansas.
