

Alvin Rubin, 95, passed away on November 9, 2023. In his final hours, he left this earth knowing how much he was loved by his late wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He was born in Boston, MA. He was the son of the late Edward & Anna (Needle) Rubin, and the younger brother of the late Lawrence Rubin. Alvin attended Northeastern University and spent his early adult years learning the family business. He was the loving husband of the late Marcia (Kravetsky) Rubin. They were fortunate to share a lifetime of love for sixty-seven years. Alvin is survived by two daughters, Leslie Levine & her husband Mark, Cindy Dimpfl & her husband Mark, and a son, David Rubin & his wife Laura. Alvin was the loving grandfather of Shari Ryan & her husband Josh, Lori McGeown & her husband Phil, and Steven Levine & his wife Rebecca. He was also blessed with four great-grandchildren: Bryce and Brayden Ryan, and Ava and Chase McGeown.
Alvin was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. From his gentle demeanor and warm smile to his words of wisdom, he was a man with class and inner strength, never afraid to speak his mind.
From his proud military service in the Air National Guard to his professionalism and success running a family business in the original Shoppers World in Framingham that spanned over fifty years, he was a man of expertise in many areas of life. Alvin’s memory will live on forever.
A graveside service will be held at the Framingham-Natick Jewish Cemetery, 40 Windsor Avenue, Natick, MA.
