

Amelia Moffie, 89, a devoted lover of animals, gardens, and poetry, passed away peacefully. Born and raised in Brookline, Massachusetts, she spent her adult life in Newton, Massachusetts, where she built a home filled with collections and curiosities gathered over many years.
She was the wife of Franklin Yoffe, who preceded her in death. Together, they raised four children: Emily, Douglas, Elizabeth, and Anthony. She was a proud grandmother to Zachary, Sara, Eliora, Charlotte, and Abigail, and a cherished great-grandmother to Theodore, Pepper, Sunny Valentine, Aurora, Maverick, and Asa.
Amelia’s presence will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her.
A Graveside Service to honor her life will be at 1:00pm on Tuesday, January 28th in Newton Cemetery, 791 Walnut Street, Newton, MA.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a local animal shelter or community garden in her memory.
