

Barbara (Zeitler) Golner, age 92, of Sarasota, FL, formerly of Sharon, MA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 with her daughter Joni by her side. Born in Boston to the late Eva & David Zeitler, she was the loving mother of Mitchell Golner (Deborah), Marcia Schwartz, Joni Williams, Kenneth Golner and the late Robert Golner. She leaves behind 7 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her longtime companion, Ernest D’Innocenzo.
Barbara was a dedicated medical technologist who worked at the Veteran’s Administration as a laboratory supervisor. She went on to work for the Human Nutrition Research Center on Aging at Tufts University. She was the author and co-author of several research papers published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition and other similar publications.
She was an early adopter of computer technology, mastering the technicalities of the Apple MacIntosh computer. She was an avid ballroom dancer. She assisted with administrative duties for the Council on Aging and Sharon Green Condominiums.
She had many friends through her work, leisure, and volunteer activities around the world.
Services will be private.
