David A. Granoff entered into rest December 15, 2020, age 92, of Wayland, formerly of Newton, surrounded by his family. Loving husband for 68 years to Anita, and father of Peter (Rosaline), Michael (Karen) and Mark (Shawn); devoted grandfather of Benjamin (Heather Levine), Gabrielle (Seth Solway), Jeremy (Amanda), Elyssa, Hannah and Sarah, and joyful great-grandfather of Lulav. Son of the late Harry and Sarah (Sockol) Granofsky, dear brother of Esther (Sumner Feldberg) and Mark (Paula) Granofsky, and adored uncle of nieces and nephews.
U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War (32nd Inf., 7th Div.). David was a younger member of The Greatest Generation, going to school, to war and returning to build home, family and work with his beloved Anita. Successful founder and operator for nearly 30 years of Customforms, Inc. of Newton. A lifelong member of Temple Emanuel, Newton, he devoted many hours to its Brotherhood serving as its president and in other roles. David was a dedicated alumnus of Lawrence Academy, serving as class agent, on the Board of Visitors and as the first president of the Alumni Council.
Due to current health restrictions, graveside services will be private.
