Edward M. Elfland

Edward M. Elfland, 78, of Medway passed away Sunday, March 18, 2012 after a brief illness. Mr. Elfland is survived by his wife of 51 years, Nancy (Fialkow) Elfland. Other survivors are son Alan and his wife Bobbie; son Michael and his wife Anne; and grandchildren Benjamin, Caleb and Caroline. He was the son of the late Celia Elfland and the brother of the late Myron Elfland and Helen Onessimo. Mr. Elfland enjoyed crossword puzzles, fishing, Foxwoods and a good pun. Born and raised in Dorchester, Mr. Elfland moved his family to Medway in the late 1960’s. He was a longtime diesel mechanic, operating Elfland Truck Service with his son Alan. He worked in the motor pool in the Marines. A graveside funeral service will be held at 12:45PM on Monday, March 19 at Sharon Memorial Park, 41 Dedham St., Sharon www.sharonmemorial.com. Memorial observance will be at the family residence in Medway after the funeral service through 9PM Monday and from 2-4PM and 7-9PM on Tuesday.
