Eileen Barnett

Eileen Barnett of Framingham, MA., passed away February27, 2016 in Palm Beach, FL. Beloved wife of Mark Barnett. Devoted mother of Jim and Rob Barnett. Dear daughter of Samuel and Sylvia Klein. Loving sister of Rita Barnett and sister-in-law of the late Steve Barnett. Cherished grandmother (Bubi) to Calista, Lyla, Harry and Greyson Barnett and the dear aunt of David, Michael, and Kevin Barnett. Loved by many others, including Aunt Mimi Green, the late Tom Green, and their children Stephen and Kenneth Green and Barbara Green-Glaz and families. Eileen was a kind, brave and fiercely intelligent woman who faced life’s adversities with quiet determination. We will miss her dearly. Born in 1949 in East Orange, N.J., Eileen received a Bachelor of Arts from Bloomfield College She was a teacher, then director of the nursery school at Temple Beth Am, earned a Masters in Educational Technology, and continued to help many students and professors as the Educational Software Coordinator and Director at Lesley University. Very active in Temple Beth Am’s Sisterhood, and the temple community, she also was past president of a chapter of ORT, a Jewish organization assisting the world’s educational needs. May she rest peacefully now in heaven above, in the embrace of our love of her life and memory, and may we see her one day in the Olam Habah (in heaven). Services on Wednesday, March 2 at 1:00 PM at Temple Beth Am, 300 Pleasant St., Framingham, 01701. Interment to follow at Beit Olam East Cemetery, Wayland. Memorial observance at her late residence immediately following interment, and continuing Thursday, 2-5PM and 7-9 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Eileen may be sent to the charity of your choice.
